Two Jefferson County people arrested following child sexual assault investigation

MAY 8, 2024 (LINCOLN, NEB.) – Nebraska State Patrol investigators have arrested two people following an investigation into a reported sexual assault of a child in Jefferson County.

The investigation began in April when the Nebraska State Patrol received a report of a sexual assault on a child. On Thursday, May 2, detectives arrested Brandon Myers, 40, of Fairbury, on charges of third-degree assault, third-degree sexual assault of a child and child abuse. Myers, an employee of the Jefferson County Jail, was booked into the Thayer County Jail.

After further investigation, Bobbi Myers, 44, of Fairbury, wife of Brandon Myers, was arrested on Monday, May 7, for child abuse and failure to report child abuse. Bobbi Myers was booked into the Jefferson County Jail.
