Arman Tsarukyan fined and suspended for altercation with fans at UFC 300

The incident with a fan before the fight at UFC 300 took its toll on Arman Tsarukyan.

The UFC lightweight contender was fined $25,000 and given a nine-month suspension by the Nevada Athletic Commission for punching a fan during his exit from his fight against Charles Oliveira on April 13 in Las Vegas. The NAC announced its ruling on Tuesday during a monthly board meeting.

Tsarukyan’s suspension is set to end nine months after the incident, on January 12, 2025. The suspension could be reduced to six months if Tsarukyan issues a commission-approved public notice to combat bullying, which would allow him to return to duty on October 12.

Tsarukyan was greeted with a middle finger by a fan as he exited the fight prior to his points victory over Oliveira. In response, Tsarukyan punched the crowd, which was captured on the broadcast and on several cell phone cameras.

The 27-year-old has currently won four fights in a row and is considered the next title challenger, as his fight against Oliveira was labeled a “title eliminator” by the UFC.
