Man attacked roommate in Grand Island home with beer bottle, police said

LINCOLN, Nebraska (KLKN) – A man attacked his roommate Monday night while he was drinking at their Grand Island home, police said.

At around 7:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a home near Fourth and Clark Streets for a report of a robbery.

According to police, investigators found that Pedro Juarez Gutierrez had attacked his roommate while they were drinking in the house.

According to police, Gutierrez punched the victim and hit him with a beer bottle. What led to the fight is unknown.

The extent of the victim’s injuries is also unknown.

Gutierrez failed a preliminary breath test and was taken to a hospital before being arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault.
