Lake Grove man arrested for breaking into several Suffolk stores and stealing cash

A Lake Grove man was arrested after police said he broke into several Suffolk businesses last month.

According to police, it began on May 18, when Joseph Foresto broke down the front door of Il Trio in Nesonset and stole cash.

That same night, Foresto allegedly did the same thing at Albert’s Pizza in Ronkonkoma.

According to police, Foresto entered the Lake Grove Deli two nights later through a window and stole cash there too.

A few weeks later, investigators say, the 67-year-old began operating again, breaking into restaurants such as Escape The Room Game Long Island in Ronkonkoma, Lorenzo’s Pizza in St. James and Rocco’s Pizza in East Patchogue.

According to police, Foresto stole cash from all three locations.

Police told News 12 over the weekend that Foresto broke into Royal Pizza in Lake Ronkonkoma but did not steal any money.

Foresto is charged with burglary.
