The Warren County Department of Emergency Management is asking residents to sign up for Alert Iowa, the state of Iowa’s emergency alert system. Warren County Department of Emergency Management Coordinator Troy Bass told KNIA News that the system has been changed in recent years, so those who signed up for alerts years ago may need to reapply for emergency alerts. Bass said the alerts can range from severe weather warnings to natural disasters to hazardous substance spills and can be set for different locations in the county. Click below for more information.
