Suspect charged in fatal shooting of two people in Houston parking lot | Texas

Houston, TX — Charges have been filed against a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man and woman at 1300 North Post Oak Road Saturday evening.

Gustavo Flores, 40, is charged with capital murder in the 263rd State District Court. The identities of the victims, a 22-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Detectives K. Hale and A. Ledford of the HPD Homicide Division reported that Houston police officers responded to a call of a shooting in a parking lot at the above address and found the victims unconscious and suffering from gunshot wounds . Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced them dead at the scene.

Further investigation and witness statements identified Flores as the suspect. Approximately two hours later, Victoria County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic stop on Flores’ vehicle, stopping him without incident. Flores was booked into the Victoria County Jail and is awaiting transportation to Harris County, according to the source.
