Two, including a teenager, were arrested for a car-to-car shooting on the 210 Freeway in Rancho Cucamonga

Two people, including a 16-year-old boy, were arrested for a car-to-car shooting on the 210 Freeway in early April.

The original incident occurred back on April 2 around 4:20 p.m. when officers were called to the westbound lanes of I-210 east of Haven Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga, according to a statement from the California Highway Patrol.

When they arrived, they found an 18-year-old Alta Loma man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, police said.

“After an extensive investigation, CHP investigators arrested the 21-year-old male driver and the 16-year-old male shooter, both from Rancho Cucamonga,” the CHP statement said.

The two suspects, who have not yet been identified by investigators, remain in custody and face multiple charges, including attempted murder and assault with a firearm, according to police.

A motive for the shooting remains unclear.
