One dead and three injured in shooting in Asheville

ASHEVILLE, NC (WSPA) – Asheville police are investigating a shooting Monday night that left one person dead and three others injured.

According to Asheville police, officers were called to an apartment complex on Livingston Street just before 8 p.m. At the scene, officers found four people, three of whom had gunshot wounds. The fourth reportedly suffered blunt force trauma.


One of the victims, whose identity has not yet been released, succumbed to his injuries. Another victim is in hospital and is in critical condition. The third victim is said to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives and forensic experts are still on site and conducting investigations.

This is the fifth murder this year in the city of Asheville.
