Man killed in Long Beach shooting – Press Telegram

LONG BEACH — A 28-year-old man was fatally shot in Long Beach early Wednesday and the suspect remained at large.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, at approximately 12:10 p.m., officers responded to the 800 block of Atlantic Avenue to a report of shots fired and discovered a man with gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Paramedics from the Long Beach Fire Department were called and determined the man was dead at the scene. He was identified as Tyrone Parks, 28, of Long Beach.

There was no immediate description of a suspect or possible motive for the shooting.
