Boy killed, several injured after bus-car collision in Southern California

A child died and two other people were injured when a car and a bus collided in South Los Angeles on Monday morning.

At 10:21 a.m., a silver Hyundai Elantra and a Los Angeles Metro bus collided, requiring three people to be hospitalized, according to the California Highway Patrol.


One of the injured, a boy, was later pronounced dead in hospital due to his injuries.

The bus driver also suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation, the CHP said. Anyone with information can call 424-551-4000.
