Deputies arrest man in connection with shooting in Peay Ridge area

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, SC (WOLO) – Fairfield County officials have arrested a man in connection with a shooting in the Peay Ridge community, the FCSO says.

Deputies say Taures J. Price was the shooter involved in the incident that occurred on Saturday, June 22 at 10 p.m.

A vehicle with two passengers was hit by gunfire. No injuries were reported.

Price was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, unlawful possession of a firearm and aggravated assault.

He was taken to the Fairfield County Detention Center for a bail hearing. The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office said the incident remains under investigation.
