2 dead after head-on collision in Taylor Mill on Sunday afternoon

According to Taylor Mill police, two people died in a head-on collision in Taylor Mill on Sunday afternoon.

According to officials, emergency crews were called to an accident on Pride Parkway and Old Taylor Mill Road around 12:25 p.m. Sunday.

According to officials, two vehicles were involved in the accident, a silver Hyundai sedan and a black BMW X5 SUV.

According to authorities, two occupants of the Hyundai were unresponsive at the scene of the accident, while all occupants of the BMW were awake and alert.

According to police, the Hyundai was found to be traveling south on Pride Parkway when it crossed the center line, entered the northbound lane and struck the BMW.

Officials said the driver of the Hyundai, 36-year-old Joey Stiltner, and his passenger, 37-year-old Kellie Hutchinson, both of Independence, were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, the driver and passenger of the BMW were taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, where they were treated and released.

The Kenton County Police Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction (STAR) Unit continues to investigate the accident to determine what caused Stiltner to cross the median and enter oncoming traffic.
