Fargo teenager convicted of shooting near Ed Clapp School last summer

FARGO, ND (KVRR) — A Fargo teenager accused of firing shots near Ed Clapp Elementary School last July has now pleaded guilty.

Mario Lighthall, 19, must serve a two-year prison sentence before being released on parole. The charges include aggravated assault, terrorizing and reckless endangerment with a dangerous weapon.

Lighthall will be credited with the 260 days he has already spent behind bars.

He must hand over a 9-millimeter pistol and ammunition and is not allowed to have any contact with the victim.

No one was injured in the shooting.

Three other people were arrested and charged in this case.
