Several injured, one dead in accident in the southeast of the valley

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — One person was killed and several others were injured in a four-vehicle crash in the southeast valley, police officials said Monday.

The four-vehicle crash occurred near the intersection of South Nellis Boulevard and East Desert Inn Road. According to police, several people were injured and taken to a nearby hospital. One person injured in the crash died at the hospital, according to police officials.

Due to the accident on Monday afternoon, East Desert Inn Road and South Nellis Boulevard were closed in both directions. Commuters are advised to avoid the area.
