5-year-old girl raped in Palnadu, police launch manhunt to catch 18-year-old accused

Palnadu (Andhra Pradesh), June 24: In a shocking incident, an 18-year-old youth allegedly raped a 5-year-old girl in Narasaraopeta town in Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh. The girl’s parents filed a complaint at Narasaraopet Rural Police Station on Monday.

Police have registered a case under the POCSO Act against the accused, identified as Chandu. Narasaraopet Rural Sub-Inspector Rossayya said the accused is absconding and police will trace him soon. More details are awaited.
