Massachusetts State Police patrol car involved in five-car crash on Mass. Pike – NBC Boston

A Massachusetts State Police patrol car was involved in a five-car crash on the Massachusetts Turnpike Monday morning.

State police said patrol officers were initially called to a two-car crash on westbound Interstate 90 between the Allston Brighton exit and the Boston University Bridge in Boston around 7:10 a.m. No injuries were reported and the scene was quickly cleared.

A short time later, at approximately 7:20 p.m., a State Police patrol car was involved in a separate five-vehicle crash on the east side of I-90 in the same area, very close to the BU Bridge.

No major injuries were reported and the accident remains under investigation.

The crime scene was cleared a short time later.
