Woman found dead in her Little Neck home with ‘visible signs of trauma’: NYPD – QNS

NYPD detectives are trying to determine how a woman was killed in a Little Neck home Saturday morning.

Police from the 111th Precinct in Bayside responded to a 911 call reporting an unconscious woman at a home on 58th Avenue near 251st Street, two blocks south of the Long Island Expressway. There they found a 44-year-old victim lying facedown on the ground with visible injuries to her back, police said. Emergency medical services rushed to the scene and pronounced the woman dead at the scene. She was later identified as Kate Tierney.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is working to determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing and the case has not been ruled a homicide as of midday Monday, according to an NYPD spokeswoman. No arrests have been made in the case.
