Casey Lubell of Ipswich, MA, killed in crash in Limington, Maine – NECN

A Massachusetts resident was killed and four others injured in a three-vehicle crash in Limington, Maine, on Saturday, police said.

The accident occurred shortly after noon in downtown Limington, at the intersection of routes 117 and 11, Maine State Police said Monday.

The deceased woman was identified as Casey Lubell, 32, of Ipswich, Massachusetts. Lubell was a passenger in a Subaru that collided with an oncoming Lexus SUV traveling on Route 11 and a Jeep traveling on Route 117.

The other three occupants of the Subaru and the Lexus driver were injured in the accident but are expected to survive, according to police.

The investigation into the accident was still ongoing on Monday morning. Police did not provide any information on how the vehicles may have collided or whether anyone will face charges.

The accident closed the intersection in the center of Limington, a town halfway between Portland and the New Hampshire border, for about three hours. One of the vehicles involved crashed into the posts of a house at the scene of the accident.
