Buffalo Bill Cody Homestead temporarily closed

Scott County Conservation Board Executive Director Roger Kean said the Buffalo Bill Cody Homestead is closed until further notice due to a staffing emergency.

The Scott County website states: “The boyhood home of Buffalo Bill Cody, government scout and Wild West showman, is located in the broad Wapsipinicon River valley. The 1847 farmhouse, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was built by Isaac. Buffalo Bill’s Father Cody is made of native limestone and contains walnut floors and woodwork. »
