The Houston SaberCats will host Dallas in Saturday’s game on CW39

HOUSTON (KIAH) — The Houston SaberCats look to finish their regular season on a high note and gain some momentum heading into the Major League Rugby playoffs in Saturday’s match against Dallas, which will be broadcast on CW39.

Houston will face the Dallas Jackals on Saturday, June 29 at 7 p.m. at SaberCats Stadium. The game will also be broadcast on CW39.

The SaberCats enter the game with a 13-2 record, which is best in the MLR. Houston had its eight-game winning streak snapped in a 32-29 loss to the San Diego Legion on Sunday.

Despite the loss, Houston took home-court advantage in the first two games of the playoffs, including a first-round meeting against Dallas on June 20 or 21.

The two teams met for the first time on March 29 in Arlington, with Houston earning a 30-27 victory over the Jackals. Davy Coetzer and Emmanuel Albert each had 10 points for the SaberCats in the match, with Albert scoring two tries.

The SaberCats look to reach the MLR championship game, which will be held at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego on August 4.
