Sibley man arrested for domestic violence | News

SIBLEY – A 21-year-old Sibley man was arrested Thursday, June 20, on a first-time charge of domestic violence resulting in injury or mental illness.

The arrest of Darvin Moises Martinez Niz occurred because a juvenile came to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office in Sibley and reported that he had been assaulted by Martinez Niz at approximately 5:00 p.m. that same day.

The teenager had injuries to his left upper arm.

Martinez Niz was found and questioned at his residence at 512 10th Street in Sibley. According to the accident report, he admitted to inflicting injuries on the teen.

A contact ban was imposed between Martinez Niz and the teenager.
