Former Bay Shore teacher charged in court with sexually abusing students

A retired Bay Shore teacher accused of sexually abusing students is due back in court Tuesday.

Thomas Bernagozzi is facing two felony charges after two of his former students alleged he abused them in the 1980s and 1990s.

News 12 reports the youngest victim was assaulted once and the oldest was assaulted until he was 10 years old.

Authorities urge any other victims to call the Suffolk County Police Special Victims Unit at 631-275-2302.

The case was adjourned.
