‘Wanted violent fugitive’ from Texas arrested after chase in Port Orange, officials say – WFTV

PORT ORANGE, Fla. – A fugitive from Texas was arrested after fleeing from police in Volusia County, police said.

Officials said Mason Day was arrested by Port Orange police last week.

According to police, he was riding a motorcycle recklessly before officers tried to stop him.

Officers said when they tried to stop him, Day sped away.

A video released by officers shows Day being arrested after he abandoned his bike and ran away on foot.

According to police, Day is a “wanted violent offender on the run” for serious bodily harm with a deadly weapon.
