Boiler Alarm – Did the painter make the right decision when he refused Catchings’ request to return?

The podcast is back and Ryan and I come full circle to the story of Kanon Catchings and ask the question: Did Matt Painter make the right decision when he denied Catchings’ request to return to the team after he asked to withdraw his National Letter of Intent? That’s a really tough question and I’ve really wrestled with it. On one hand, you have to think about team chemistry and what message would be conveyed if Painter continued to pander to the whims of this rookie who has proven nothing to the rest of the team? On the other hand, he’s obviously an incredibly talented player and that’s what you want on your team. So what do you think? Did Painter make the right decision?
