18 Chinese killed in fire at South Korean lithium battery factory: Fire brigade

Among the 22 people who died in a major fire at a South Korean lithium battery factory, 18 were Chinese, the fire department said on Monday. Another person is missing.

“Among the dead are 20 foreigners, including 18 Chinese, one from Laos and a man of unknown nationality,” firefighter Kim Jin-young told the media, adding that the bodies were badly burned and that full identification of the victims would take some time.
