Christine Quinn’s husband charged with assault and child abuse/endangerment

Christian Dumontet, the estranged husband of Sell ​​Sunset Star Christine Quinn has been formally charged following a domestic incident in March 2024 in which the couple’s young son was reportedly injured.

The Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office tells PEOPLE that the tech executive has been charged with three misdemeanors: child abuse/endangerment, assault and violating a protective order.

PEOPLE reached out to representatives for Dumontet (who also goes by Christian Richard) and Quinn but did not immediately receive a response.

Dumontet and the Sell ​​Sunset Alum, 35, married in 2019. In 2021, they had their son, Christian George Dumontet. Dumontet filed for divorce in April 2024.

The charges against Dumontet stem from two incidents in March at her family’s Los Angeles home, in which he was arrested both times.

On March 19, he was arrested in connection with a domestic violence incident involving her son.

“The victim and suspect were involved in a domestic dispute,” a public information officer told PEOPLE about the incident. “The suspect threw a bag containing a glass bottle at the victim, missing the victim, but the object struck the victim’s child, causing injuries.”

Dumontet was charged with assault with a “deadly weapon” after the toddler was treated by paramedics, according to a law enforcement statement.

He was arrested again the following day, March 20, after allegedly violating an emergency protective order, the LAPD confirmed to PEOPLE at the time.

Since then, Dumontet and Quinn have made allegations against each other and issued two restraining orders.

That same month, Dumontet claimed he believed the luxury real estate agent may have plans to kidnap her son.

People received a copy of his request and in it he asked Quinn to move out and stay 100 yards (300 feet) from his Los Angeles home.

As for Quinn, in her documents obtained by PEOPLE, she claimed that Dumontet had a history of “volatile and erratic” behavior.

She also claimed her husband “took extreme measures to prevent me from leaving the property” and “isolating me and our son,” including locking the security gate at the front “so we wouldn’t physically leave the property.” can”.

In April, a judge approved Quinn’s request for a restraining order, which in turn meant her former partner was the one who had to leave their shared Hollywood home where the alleged conflict took place.

Dumontet is scheduled to be arraigned on June 4, the LA District Attorney’s Office tells PEOPLE.
