Weekend review of official visits; First Alert: June 24, 2024

Last weekend was another success for the University of Miami coaching team.

The talent pool that flooded the building was incredible, and in the process, some commitments and firm pledges were made. Four-star linebackers Elijah Melendez and Ezekiel Marcelin are 100 percent committed to the university, which put the program at No. 32 in recruiting, up from No. 36, according to 247sports.

There have also been rumors that some of the top offensive and defensive players are getting ready to decommit and make a few more trips to Coral Gables. If that’s the case, last year’s No. 3 recruiting class could keep rising as the season goes on. If the talent produces like it has this season and next, The U could come back, and that’s a great thing for college football and athletics.
