Vermont State Police are asking for help in locating a suspected fugitive from St. Albans

According to Vermont State Police, a suspect in an aggravated domestic violence case in Swanton is on the run and may be armed.

Nicholas Hale, 26, of St. Albans is also charged with false imprisonment and grand theft. The incident reportedly occurred on Elm Street in Swanton just before 12:30 Sunday afternoon. Police say Hale was wearing jeans and a gray sweatshirt. He ran away, and they don’t know where he went.

Investigators are asking anyone who may encounter Hale not to approach him. Instead, they suggest either calling the St. Albans Police Department barracks at (802) 524-5993 or leaving an anonymous tip online.
