A man’s visit to a fish and snack bar resulted in him being sentenced to almost 30 years in prison.

Thomas Speed ​​was identified as a user of the EncroChat name “Simple Creek” after he mentioned a chip shop near his home as well as his asphalting business in his allegedly secret messages. He and two other men, James Salkeld and Scott Roseau, were sentenced to a total of more than 65 years in prison for using the encrypted communications platform to traffic firearms and Class A drugs in large quantities.
