One dead in shooting in Lafayette on Sunday evening

LAFAYETTE, Louisiana (KLFY)– A man was killed in a shooting in Lafayette on Sunday evening.

At approximately 7:29 p.m., Lafayette Police responded to the 400 block of Justin Street to report a victim with a gunshot wound.

When police arrived at the scene, the victim was assisted until paramedics arrived to continue life-saving efforts. The male victim later died at the scene, according to police.
