Man arrested at airport in connection with Salt Lake City murder

SALT LAKE CITY — On Sunday afternoon, police at Salt Lake City International Airport arrested a man in connection with a murder that occurred earlier this year.

Salt Lake City police said they arrested 21-year-old Nay Blusoe after he returned from Detroit, Michigan. He reportedly fled the state after the murder, which happened in May.

He was put in prison on charges of aggravated murder and obstruction of justice.

Blusoe is linked to the murder of 30-year-old Nico Christopher Patino.

Patino was shot and killed in a Glendale neighborhood on May 26, 2024. The shooting was determined to be a coordinated action by the SLCPD.

This is the second arrest in this case. On June 19, the SLCPD arrested 19-year-old Abdihakim Mohamed for aggravated murder.

The SLCPD said the “investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are possible.”
