2 dead and 1 injured in car crash Sunday morning in Ohio City

Cleveland police are investigating a fatal car crash in Ohio City.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Two people were killed and another injured in an accident Sunday morning in Ohio City.

Cleveland police confirmed that a two-vehicle crash occurred at the corner of West 44th Street and Lorain Avenue at around 5:50 a.m. Paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced a 58-year-old man dead. A 49-year-old woman was taken to the hospital, where she later died.

They were in the same car.

A 27-year-old man in the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital, but officials could not confirm his current condition.

The Cleveland Police Department’s Accident Investigation Unit is investigating the cause of the accident.
