High school teacher in Baltimore County charged with sexual abuse of a minor

BALTIMORE – A high school teacher in Baltimore County has been arrested for sexually abusing a minor, police said.

Carlos Arroyo, 38, a Randallstown High School teacher, was charged with two crimes: sexual abuse of a minor and third-degree sexual assault.

According to police, Arroyo is also charged with two minor offenses.


Baltimore County police said they were notified of the incidents in late April. Detectives began their investigation and have been conducting interviews and collecting evidence since the notification, leading to Arroyo’s arrest on Friday.

Detectives are asking anyone with additional information or who believes they may be a victim of Arroyo to contact police at 410-887-7720 or DSS at 410-887-8463.

Arroyo is currently being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
