Man shot by Brooklyn Park police at scene of baby’s death investigation – InForum

BROOKLYN PARK, Minnesota – A Brooklyn Park Police officer shot and killed a man in the 8700 block of Queens Garden North early Sunday morning, June 23.

The shooting occurred at about 4:40 a.m.

The man was injured and taken to hospital. He is expected to survive. Police say the man had a weapon on him.

Officers had arrived at the scene about 45 minutes earlier because a baby was not breathing. The seven-month-old child was taken to a hospital and later died.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the shooting. Brooklyn Park police say the incident was captured on an officer’s body camera.
