Police investigate Friday death at Joliet motel – Shaw Local

Joliet Police Detectives are investigating the death of a man who apparently fell and hit his head on furniture at the Town House Motel.

At 12:04 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a report of an unresponsive man in one of the guest rooms at the Town House Motel, 832 Plainfield Road, said Joliet police Sergeant Dwayne English.

When officers arrived, they found a 39-year-old Joliet man unresponsive in a room, English said. The man was pronounced dead by the Will County coroner’s office.

“It is believed that the man fell while drunk and hit his head on furniture. However, this is still being investigated by investigators,” said English.

The man’s girlfriend, also from Joliet, was on site and cooperated with the investigation, he said.

According to English, there is no evidence of a crime.

“It is believed that he fell out of bed while drunk,” English said.
