The Buffalo International Film Festival has plenty of opportunities for October

Since 2006, BIFF has welcomed people from around the world to Buffalo.

BUFFALO, NY — Since 2006, the Buffalo International Film Festival (BIFF) has welcomed visitors from around the world to Buffalo.

One of BIFF’s goals is to amplify diverse voices and share stories with communities from all backgrounds. In addition to the festival, they also offer workshops, panel discussions and seminars, according to their website.

The BIFF is calling on filmmakers to submit their films until the extended final deadline: July 12. Artists will receive a notification if their films have been selected on August 8.

Even if you don’t have a film ready to submit yet, there are other ways to get involved. The organization is offering internships for the fall, and is also looking for weekend volunteers!

The Tilke Hill WiP Award is a memorial grant in honor of Tilke Hill and is awarded to artists currently developing a film. The $1,500 goes toward ongoing work that exemplifies fearlessness. The next due date is August 27.
