Crime in Houston, Texas: Man and woman shot on N Post Oak Road

HOUSTON — A man and woman were shot and killed in the parking lot of a northwest Houston apartment complex Saturday evening, police said.

It happened around 10:45 p.m. on North Post Oak Road near the West Loop and Katy Freeway.

A Houston Police Department lieutenant said a witness reported seeing a young man having a disturbance with another man and a woman in the parking lot before hearing gunshots. When she heard the gunshots, she rushed to her balcony and saw the two people lying on the ground.

When officers arrived, the man and woman were already dead, according to HPD.

Police only described the suspect as a man who may have left the scene in a black SUV.

Homicide investigators were called to the scene and were working to collect surveillance video and statements from witnesses in the area.

We do not yet know the ages or identities of the victims.
