Police search for suspect in triple shooting in southern Colorado

ALAMOSA, Colorado – Alamosa police are searching for a person in connection with a shooting that left one person dead and two others injured at a hotel Sunday morning.

Officers responded to a report of a shots fired at the Sunset Inn Hotel on West 8th Street around 2:04 a.m. and discovered three gunshot victims.

According to KRDO in Colorado Springs, Police Chief George Dingfelder said one victim died and the other victims were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

A suspect named Henry Corral left the scene and was subsequently involved in an accident in the area of ​​County Road 106 and Road 12 South, police said.

According to police, he attempted to steal a car before leaving the area on foot.

Officials are conducting an intensive search for Corral and a distress call has been sent to the surrounding area to alert residents.

Corral is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information is asked to stay away and call 911.
