Shooting in East Poplar: Woman dead after shooting at corner of 7th and Poplar Streets

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Police are trying to determine what led to a fatal shooting in Philadelphia’s East Poplar neighborhood.

The action cam was on site at the corner of 7th and Poplar Street shortly before 11 p.m. on Saturday.

According to investigators, the victim was a 47-year-old woman who was found with a gunshot wound to the head.

Officers found the victim’s car nearby, which was still running, but two windows were broken and there was a hammer on the roof.

Officers seized the weapon used in the shooting, but no arrests were made.
