Six people shot, one killed in downtown St. Louis

ST. LOUIS – Six people were shot and one man died in downtown St. Louis early Sunday.

Police responded to a report of multiple people shot around 3:30 a.m. and dispatched to the corner of 10th and Market Streets, which is home to a sculpture park and is about a block north of the Thomas Eagleton Federal Courthouse.

The shooting was the ninth homicide this year in the Downtown and Downtown West neighborhoods, according to city police crime records. There were only six homicides in all of last year, and nine in 2022.
