Pennsylvania State Police investigate homicide in Franklin County

GREENE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) – Pennsylvania State Police in Franklin County are investigating a homicide that occurred overnight in Greene Township.

State police said troopers responded to the 3700 block of Mountain Shadow Drive on June 22 for a reported shooting. Officers found a person in a vehicle in the middle of the road and rendered aid to the person, but the person was later pronounced dead.

Officers found that there were people in a house and were able to bring two juveniles and 30-year-old Anthony Jalil Henderson out of the house.

State police said there was a verbal argument between Henderson and the victim, 33-year-old Lance Mitchell Riely, and that Riely died from a single gunshot wound.

Henderson was identified as a suspect and charged with first-degree murder and other weapons and drug offenses.

There is currently no danger to the population.
