Kansas man dies in UTV crash after being pulled off the road

WABAUNSEE COUNTY – A Kansas man died in a crash in Wabaunsee County shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that a 2019 Honda UTV operated by Brian D. Palenske, 50, of Basehor, was traveling on private property in a field one mile southwest of 28502 Loire Creek Road.

The driver lost control and overturned the UTV. The passenger, identified as Ray G. Palenske, 74, Lenexa, was ejected and died at the scene. Brian Palenske was not injured. KHP did not release any further details.
