Teen arrested for using gel bead blaster in AMC theater

CREVE COEUR, Missouri – A juvenile was arrested for using a gel bead blaster at an AMC movie theater and then fleeing the scene. He was later arrested.

At around 5:30 p.m., Creve Coeur police were called to a disturbance at the AMC Creve Coeur 12 theater, 10465 Olive Boulevard. The juvenile, wearing a mask, stood up from his seat near the front of the crowded theater and pulled out a gel bead blaster.


He began firing the beads into the crowd before running out of the theater. Officers responding to the incident found the youth in a nearby parking lot shortly after the incident. They recovered the gel bead blaster and mask he was using.

The juvenile was arrested and transported to St. Louis County Family Court for processing. Disposition will be made by the Family Court. No injuries were reported. Police have secured the scene and there is no active threat associated with this case.
