Health system protests for one hour against police violence

Israel’s health system will hold an hour-long protest on Sunday to demonstrate against police violations of the right to medical care, the group Whitecoats announced on Sunday.

The statement said the decision to hold the rally was made by the Israel Medical Association and would be carried out with as little risk to patients as possible.

The group added that the decision to hold the protests came against the backdrop of cases in which police used violence against doctors at protest sites and prevented them from providing medical assistance to the injured.
