OHP: Kansas woman killed in car crash in Ottawa County | News

WYANDOTTE, Oklahoma – A Kansas woman died in a car accident on US-60 near Wyandotte in Ottawa County on Saturday afternoon, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).

OHP said the accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of State Highway 10.

The victim, a 59-year-old woman from Mounds, Kansas, was twas transported by Quapaw EMS to Mercy in Joplin, MO following the accident and was pronounced dead by hospital staff.

Three other people were involved in the accident; two of them were taken to hospital and later released.

According to OHP, the cause of the accident was failure to obey a stop sign.
