New York Attorney General releases transcripts of Cuomo harassment investigation

The New York Attorney General on Wednesday released hundreds of pages of transcripts from the investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct by former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. The former governor resigned in August after the Investigation It turned out that he had sexually harassed at least eleven women.

During his 11-hour testimony, Cuomo was often combative with investigators and repeatedly denied inappropriate behavior.

The 515-page report was released by the state’s Attorney General, Letitia James, who launched the investigation, which found that Cuomo groped, kissed and made sexually suggestive comments to 11 women.

Former Cuomo aide Brittany Commisso, who claims the then-governor groped her in the government mansion, met with CBS News for a exclusive interview in August.

“He put his hand under my blouse and cupped my breast over my bra,” Commisso said.

However, Cuomo told investigators that this never happened: “It would be an act of insanity to touch a woman’s breast and to make myself vulnerable to a woman based on such an accusation.”

The incident prompted a separate investigation by the Albany County Sheriff and led to the submission a charge of sexual assault last month.

“To be clear, this never happened,” Cuomo said in August about the alleged harassment.

When asked if he had ever kissed an employee on the lips, Cuomo replied, “I kiss on the cheek. There may be times when an employee has kissed me on the lips, but generally I kiss on the cheek.”

Another alleged incident involved an unnamed police officer from Cuomo’s security detail. She claims she was harassed and touched inappropriately.

“I felt completely abused because for me it was between my chest and my private area,” she told investigators.

A spokesman for Cuomo said the transcripts raised even more questions and again described the original report as “politically motivated.”

Cuomo ended his eleven-hour questioning by telling the investigator: “I would like to say it was a pleasure. But I am under oath.”
