FIRST WARNING – Large-scale flash floods shake Tucson metro

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Storms dumped impressive amounts of rain in just a short period of time, causing widespread flash flooding in the Tucson metropolitan area today. If you come across a flooded road, TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN! Just one foot of water can wash away your car. The five minutes you could save by crossing a flooded road is not worth losing your car or even your life.

We still have one Tomorrow is First Alert Action Day due to isolated, widespread showers and storms, especially in the south (Green Valley, Nogales, Sierra Vista, Bisbee). The afternoon showers and storms will stay with us for the foreseeable future.
