Man arrested after road rage incident: Lakewood police report

LAKEWOOD, Ohio –

Severe Threat: Sloane Avenue

A woman called police at 7:30 p.m. on June 10 to report a road rage incident in which a man followed her vehicle and then pointed a gun at her, a police report said. Officers escorted the woman to her home, spoke with a male suspect and arrested the man for aggravated menacing, a police report said.

Weapon: Clarence Avenue

On June 15, officers arrested a man at 4:39 a.m. Charges included obstruction of publicity, carrying a concealed weapon, improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle and disturbing the peace, according to a police report. A woman called officers to report that a male acquaintance refused to exit her vehicle. She told officers he might have a weapon. When officers arrived, the suspect attempted to flee and engaged in a struggle with officers, according to the report.

Grand Theft Auto: Lakewood Avenue

A resident called police at 12:47 a.m. on June 15 to report his car stolen. A neighbor reported seeing three men wearing hoodies steal the car.

Attempted car theft: Clifton Boulevard

A resident reported on June 14 at 3:39 a.m. that he found a broken window in his vehicle and that the vehicle had been ransacked.

Disorderly Conduct: Madison Avenue

A resident reported seeing a man tripping and falling several times on Madison Avenue near Larchmont at 11:11 p.m. on June 13. Officers arrested the man for disorderly conduct while intoxicated and released him for medical treatment.

Theft: Winchester Avenue

A resident reported her son’s scooter stolen from the front yard at 8:58 p.m. on June 13. The woman said she had video of a man stealing the scooter about two hours earlier and driving away with it.

Physical Control: Detroit Avenue

On June 12, at 4:23 a.m., a patrol officer arrested a man for assault on Detroit Avenue near Fry Avenue.
