Man arrested after triple shooting in Axton

PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Three people were shot and one man was arrested in Axton on Saturday.

Shortly after 2:30 p.m., someone called Pittsylvania County 911 to report that multiple people had been shot. When officers arrived at the scene on Sandy River Road, they found three adults shot. All were flown to the hospital for treatment.

According to PCSO, the suspect, 31-year-old Telvin Hairston of Martinsville, was arrested a short time later in Henry County by local officials.

Charges are pending and the case is still under investigation.
