Child dies after incident at OC water park

According to police, a child died at a water park in Orange County on Saturday.

According to Irvine Police, the incident occurred Saturday morning at Wild Rivers Water Park in Irvine.

Police and Orange County Fire Rescue were called because a child needed medical attention. Paramedics took the child to the hospital, where he later died, police said.

The department did not provide information on the child’s age or why he needed help, but officials said the incident did not appear to be water-related.
